Plant Camp is a weekend herbal and wild foods immersion designed to bring you into deeper relationship with plants through hands-on learning, medicine making, foraging, and self-care.

This summer, you are invited to choose between two distinct Plant Camp experiences or attend both for a full-spectrum journey through wild and cultivated herbalism.

Colorado Mountain Medicine Camp
June 26–28 | Near Crested Butte and Paonia, Colorado

A rugged, land-based experience set in alpine forests, lakes, and mountain meadows. This camp focuses on plant connection in wild environments, ethical harvesting, self-reliance, and working with plants as they naturally grow.

Includes:

• Plant walks and wild identification
• Ethical foraging and sustainability practices
• Herbal medicine making in the field, with remedies to take home
• Wild food preparation using foraged plants
• Herbal self-care and daily ritual
• A Rooted Apothecary spa night
• Introduction to building your own apothecary or farmstand

Michigan Bloom to Bottle Camp
August 7-9 | Herbal Homestead, Metamora, Michigan

A grounded, creative experience centered around growing, harvesting, and transforming plants into finished remedies and botanical creations. This camp moves through the full bloom-to-bottle process of herbalism.

Includes:

• Garden and wild plant walks
• Harvesting techniques and timing
• Herbal medicine making, including teas, oils, tinctures, and body care to take home
• A hands-on floristry segment using homegrown flowers
• Herbal self-care and daily ritual
• A Rooted Apothecary spa night
• Introduction to building your own apothecary or farmstand

Plant Camp is for the plant curious, the budding, or even the experienced herbalist, and anyone who wants to feel more capable, connected, and confident working with plants in everyday life.

No prior experience is required.

🏕 Camping + Lodging
This is a camp-style experience.

You can choose:
• Tent camping
• Car camping

You’ll need to bring your own:
• Tent/sleeping setup
• Bedding (sleeping bag, blankets, pillow)
• Headlamp or flashlight
• Weather-appropriate clothing

If you’ve never camped before—don’t stress. We’ll send a simple packing list and tips to make it comfortable.

🥗 Food
Participants are responsible for their own meals.

You’ll want to bring:
• Easy-to-prepare meals
• Snacks
• Water bottle + beverages

We’ll have shared spaces for eating, and meals often become a really beautiful part of the experience.
