2. Great Sand Dunes National Park - If you're looking for a unique camping experience, look no further than Great Sand Dunes National Park. This park features the tallest sand dunes in North America, as well as alpine lakes and hiking trails. There are over 80 campsites available, including backcountry sites and group campsites.
3. Mesa Verde National Park - For history buffs, Mesa Verde National Park offers a unique camping experience. The park is home to over 5,000 archaeological sites, including cliff dwellings and ancient villages. There are two campgrounds in the park, offering over 250 campsites.
4. Maroon Bells - If you're looking for a picturesque camping spot, Maroon Bells is the perfect choice. This area is home to two of the most photographed peaks in North America, as well as crystal-clear lakes and hiking trails. There are several campsites in the area, including backcountry sites and campgrounds with amenities.
5. Chatfield State Park - Located just outside of Denver, Chatfield State Park offers a convenient camping option for those looking to stay close to the city. The park features over 190 campsites, as well as fishing, boating, and hiking opportunities.
