We strive to source exclusively organic or beyond-organic ingredients for all of our products. However, some of our growers are not USDA Certified Organic yet, though they practice even more strenuous standards than required, therefore we can not advertise that our products are 100% organic. Rest assured that when you buy Rooted products you are buying some of the cleanest and most quality herbal products on the market grown with so much car

Most of our products are made by hand at our headquarters in Gunnison, Colorado, and a few in Crested Butte. We have also partnered with some fantastic humans who make some of our products off-site! We have products crafted at one of our herb farms in Paonia, Colorado, our soap is handmade by my in-laws in Lander, Wyoming, and our tinctures recipes are created and bottled in Sedona, Arizona.
We take our sourcing very seriously as it greatly affects the quality of our products. Most of our herbs are grown by small organic and regenerative family farms in Colorado or are wildcrafted in the Rock Mountains by Briana Wiles, the owner of Rooted
We very carefully and with great respect harvest our osha from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
While some experts warn that osha is a threatened species in many places, we are able to access many thriving, well-established, and monitored stands in our beloved forests. In these places, we take only what we need and harvest off-shoot roots that don’t affect the overall ability of the plant to continue growing (think pruning a bush, taproot = NO, NO!). We visit the same stand each year and see them ever-expanding which is confirmation of our good stewardship of these potent and special plants.
You smoke ‘em, silly! Light it up and inhale–puff, puff, pass, if you are with a friend or simply enjoy solo to take the edge of a de-stress.
